About the Counselor

Calm Spirit counselor is Kathleen Knoderer, a licensed professional counselor with twenty years experience working with individuals, families, and groups in a variety of settings, including mental health agencies, Employee Assistance Program, alcohol and drug abuse agencies and public schools. She is also certified in alternative healing treatments including Reiki and Qi Healing which address the needs of physical pain that often are associated with emotional distress.

Scope of Practice

Clinical counseling principles, methods and procedures to assist individuals in achieving more effective personal, social, educational and/or career development. This includes assessing and analyzing emotional conditions, exploring possible solutions, and developing a treatment plan for mental and emotional adjustment and development.

Fees and How It Works

The charge for the first sessionis $15 which will include an initial response and a follow up response to clarify your issues. Short follow up sessions are $15. Regular ongoing counseling is $25 per session and is flexible, and we will discuss your fee after the first sessions.

A session consists of an email session. You provide information about your issues, and I will respond. My response may require more than one email requesting additional information, which will be considered one session. You will be in control of the frequency of sessions to work at a pace that is comfortable for you. Writing gives us both the opportunity to reflect on issues and responses. Depending on the nature of your issues, we might "settle up" at an agreed upon time, and we can discuss this as we work together.

You will first go to a page where you will describe what you want to talk about, then when you submit the page, you will be directed to a page where you will choose your session and click to make your payment. Payment methods are Visa, Mastercard, and you will be contacted when your intake form is received for your payment.
